Halloween in Barcelona 2026: Best Events, Horror Experiences & Things to Do

Last researched: October 2026
Personally tested: Updates coming throughout October 2026

Miles Together First-Hand Guide:I’m based in Barcelona, and this guide combines my own local research with information checked against organizers and official sources. As I visit Halloween locations myself, I’ll add my own photos, prices, crowd observations and personal recommendations.

Barcelona is a particularly interesting place to spend Halloween because the city gives you several very different ways to celebrate it. You can go for a full horror experience, choose something family-friendly, watch a classic horror film on a rooftop, attend a themed attraction, or even leave the city for a traditional witch fair.

And this year, Halloween falls on Saturday, October 31, 2026, which makes the final weekend of October especially useful for visitors planning a Barcelona city break.

Best Halloween events and experiences in Barcelona in 2026

1. La Zona at Poble Espanyol — for serious horror

If you want one of the more intense Halloween experiences in Barcelona, La Zona at Poble Espanyol should be high on your list.
For 2026, Poble Espanyol has confirmed La Zona for October 16, 23, 30 and 31. The experience runs at night, with tickets starting from €24. On October 31, the scheduled hours are 8:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Poble Espanyol
This is not really positioned as a children’s Halloween attraction. Poble Espanyol describes it as a high-intensity terror experience and recommends it from around age 14. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Poble Espanyol

Best for: teenagers, adults and horror fans.

Miles Together take: If you are looking for actual scares rather than just Halloween decoration, this is probably one of the first Barcelona events I would investigate.

2. Creepy Halloween Family at Poble Espanyol — better for families

Poble Espanyol is also running a separate Creepy Halloween Family experience.
The confirmed 2026 dates are October 17, 18, 24, 25 and 31, plus November 1. The concept is much more family-friendly, with mysterious tunnels, characters, riddles and activities designed for younger visitors. Poble Espanyol
Current listings show tickets from around €12.50, although October 31 pricing can be higher depending on the ticket type. Time Out Global

So instead of listing Poble Espanyol as one Halloween event, I would actually present it as two completely different experiences:

ExperienceBest forStyle
Creepy Halloween FamilyFamiliesGames, characters, light scares
La ZonaTeens/adultsImmersive horror

3. Halloween rooftop cinema at Hotel El Palace

One of the most distinctive Halloween options this year is the rooftop cinema at Hotel El Palace Barcelona.
Current 2026 listings show screenings on October 31 and November 1 at the hotel’s Rooftop Garden. The program includes Coco at 6:00 p.m. and Halloween (1978) at 8:30 p.m. on the listed dates. The experience includes popcorn and a drink, with additional food and drinks available separately. Fever
This gives you a very different Halloween evening from a nightclub or haunted attraction.

Best for: couples, film lovers and travelers looking for a calmer Halloween night.

Miles Together content idea: This could become an excellent firsthand article:

“I Watched a Horror Movie on a Barcelona Rooftop — Was It Worth It?”
You could record:

  • sunset/view quality
  • weather
  • seating comfort
  • drink/food prices
  • movie atmosphere
  • value for money
  • whether you would do it again

4. Halloween at Tibidabo

The 2026 Halloween season at Tibidabo is listed as running from October 3 to November 8, making it one of the longer seasonal Halloween programs around Barcelona. Carnet Jove
For your final article, I would create a dedicated section around:

Hotel 666
Halloween shows
zombie-themed entertainment
rides after dark
views over Barcelona

However, I would verify the exact 2026 Hotel 666 ticket inclusions and prices directly with Tibidabo before publishing a €39 figure because the Instagram information you collected may not reflect the current ticket structure.

So this section should say:2026 season confirmed; exact attraction inclusions and ticket options should be checked before visiting.

5. Halloween at Barcelona Wax Museum

The Museu de Cera de Barcelona is another very natural Halloween venue because the setting already works well for darker, theatrical events.
Your research points to a Halloween program on October 31, built around gothic and supernatural themes.
Barcelona’s Wax Museum is also one to watch for October 31. The venue traditionally suits Halloween particularly well thanks to its gothic interiors and horror-themed characters. Miles Together is checking the museum’s final 2026 Halloween schedule and ticket information before publishing a recommendation.

6. Paradox Museum’s Halloween experience

The Paradox Museum Barcelona is another interesting option from my research.

The idea fits families and casual visitors better than an intense horror attraction because the Halloween theme is incorporated into the museum’s optical illusions and interactive rooms.
For your eventual first-hand review, test:

  • whether Halloween changes the normal experience meaningfully
  • whether it is mainly designed for children
  • how long the experience takes
  • whether it is worth visiting specifically for Halloween
  • ticket price versus normal admission

7. Horror-themed drinks in Gràcia

If you’re looking for something informal instead of a scheduled attraction, Gràcia also has horror-themed nightlife options.
Neo Caja Negra is known for a darker horror-inspired atmosphere, cocktails and rock-oriented music, making it a possible stop before or after other Halloween plans.

I have not visited yet, so I don’t want to quote a current cocktail price as confirmed. If I find a reliable previous-year or current menu price, I would write it clearly as “previously listed at around €X” or “recent menu prices were around €X–€X”, rather than presenting it as the 2026 price.

Music: Rock-focused, based on the venue information currently available.

Atmosphere: Horror-themed and darker than a typical Barcelona cocktail bar.

Best for: Couples, small groups and people who want a Halloween atmosphere without attending a large club event.

A free Halloween-style day trip: Fira de Bruixes in Martorell

This is one of the best discoveries from my research because it gives something outside central Barcelona.

The Fira de Bruixes de Martorell is confirmed for October 16–18, 2026.
The historic center of Martorell will host:A witch-themed market, artisan stalls, performances, a horror tunnel, talks, family activities and food areas. Entry is free, and no advance reservation is required. Turismo Baix Llobregat

The confirmed opening hours are:
October 16: 5 p.m.–9 p.m.
October 17–18: 10 a.m.–9 p.m. Turismo Baix Llobregat

Final Thoughts: Is Halloween in Barcelona Worth It?

Halloween in Barcelona is a little different from what you might expect in cities like London or New York. Here, you get a mix of modern Halloween events, horror attractions, parties, family activities and traditional Catalan celebrations such as La Castanyada.

For 2026, there are already several good options across Barcelona, from Poble Espanyol and Tibidabo to rooftop cinema experiences, themed bars and local events around the city. If you are visiting during the last two weeks of October, it is worth checking what is happening before you arrive because some events can sell out or change their schedules.

What I like most about Halloween in Barcelona is that you do not have to celebrate it in only one way. You can spend the afternoon at a family event, try roasted chestnuts and panellets, explore the city in the evening and then finish the night at a Halloween party.

Since I live in Barcelona, I will keep updating this guide as I visit more places, check decorations, attend events and see what the atmosphere is actually like in different parts of the city.

My Personal Experience

I will also add my own experience here after visiting the events, including:

what I paid, how crowded it was, how long I waited, what I liked, what I would skip and whether I would personally recommend it.

That way, this guide will not just tell you what is happening in Barcelona. It will also help you decide what is actually worth your time and money.
If you are planning to visit Barcelona around Halloween, save this page and check back because I will keep updating it throughout October.
